Hey there @Reaster, it's nice to see you around the forums! Is this the first time you don't get active minutes? I'd recommend taking a look at this post from @HeydyF, where she explains how you earn your active minutes according to your activity.
Hope it helps!
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

@Reaster, have you looked at your calories burnt graph fot the walk in question?
Active minutes as stated above is hased on calories burnt. Maybe you might want to post a screen shot of tye calories.
Note i assume the tracker itself also shows 0 for active minutes.

With 1440 minutes in a day, 3000+ daily calories are only 3 calories a minute, doesnt sound very active, does it. It is 92 minutex into the day, i have sleep and laid in bed.
Ok lets look at the heart rate graph of the walk in question?
What I'm trying to determine:
Is there any graph durring your run time that says that you have active minutes.
Does the total daily stats graph reflect what the individual run record shows.
You say you do 60 - 120 minutes of walking and tye active minutes don't show in the days totals.. All I'm asking is how many active minutes show in the record of your walk?
Here it says i have 33 minutes that are active
My summary screen agrees

Im not sure what is ment by set to count? If the tracker is on the arm it is counting steps.
The walk event i did tye screen shot above was auto detected, i did nothing to the app or tracker to record it. Fitbit correctly decided tyat i was walking.
A 60 minute nonstop walk should have been recorded as a walk with you doing nothing but wwaring the fitbit on the arm.

Are you working hard enough to have active minutes recorded? 3000 calories a day doesn't sound very active. It is 6am and i have been barely out of bed. Well i did hurt my foot and can't walk easily on it, but have burnt 1249 calories in those 6 hours.
Pardon me while i do my relax function.

Ive been trying to give some insight and help, all i get back is excuses, evasions.
There must be a reason why your 60+ minute walk was not reqistered? Even if you did nothing to start a recording?
Pardon me while i do my relax function.

@Reaster To clarify, you said that your tracker was tracking active minutes appropriately, but now it is not. You said that you restarted your tracker -- sometimes when trackers act up, they need to be restarted 2-3 times in succession to reset. Try that.
Active minutes are given based on activity that meets a certain threshold of metabolic activity -- the MET. A person at rest is exerting 1 MET. Active minutes are given at 3 METs -- a brisk walk. Sounds like your activity qualifies. The exact algorithms are "proprietary", but looking at data can give insight as to how this works. Fitbit seems to decide that what you need for an active minute is above a certain multiple of your basal metabolic rate.
Here is a screen shot of the calorie burn from a recent 50 minute walk of mine:
This is from my web dashboard, but if you are using the phone app, you will see something a little different. the time intervals are different. From all the looking that I have been doing, your calorie burn needs to be in the yellow and green to be an active minute. Look at your calorie burn for your walks. Does it look like it should count?
Two similar people doing the same activity should get similar results. But, trackers do act up. If everything still seems like it should be active minutes, but are not being counted as active minutes, then I think you should contact Support
Sounds like you might need more technical help.

@Reaster Sounds like it should. But how much your heart rate changes with exercise depends on your fitness level. My resting heart rate is 46-50. It was barely above 110 during that walk. I really think you need to look at the calorie burn graphs. Fitbit makes other trackers that don't measure heart rate, but do measure active minutes. That decision is made by your calorie burn -- not just raw calorie burn, but calorie burn compared to your basal metabolic calorie burn.
And to clarify -- your tracker DID give you active minutes, but now it does not.

Yes thats correct it used to... could it be because my resting heart rate has changed?

@Reaster Could be. But you really need to look at one of the calorie burn graphs like the one I posted. If those bars are yellow or green, I think they should be active minutes. If they are red/orange, they will not be active minutes.

The exact same thing has happened to me Today. Yesterday was fine and all active minutes counted. Today my steps as well as my daily activity minutes worked. Shows activity time periods. But my fitbit and my dashboard show 0 where the activity minutes should be??? What gives!!
