I am having problems with my Charge 2 tracking my sleep correctly. I usually go to bed between 10 and 11 PM.. and awake at 6 AM. My tracker shows me going to sleep at 1 or 2 AM most nights and waking up at 6:45 am (that is well after I have showered and dressed for work).. if it was a time zone setting, it should be off by the same on the sleep and wake, but it is only off on one end. I had this same problem with my old Flex, and I been talking with friends who also own the Charge 2 and they report the same issue.

Hey @ASJacobs, welcome aboard! Don't you worry, I'd like you to try a few things to improve the accuracy of your Charge 2.
- Make sure that you are correctly wearing it, which means, If you slept in a position that prevented your tracker from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your tracker higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
After that wear it for a few nights and let me know if the results improved. Also, if you'd like to, you can edit your previous sleep data, just follow these instructions to do so:
Let me know how it goes!

I wear my fitbit about 2 fingers below my wrist. I usually wear it snug, but notice it still slides. Heartrate tracker works pretty well. Since I repair medical equipment.. I can use a heart rate monitor and have it within a beat or two of eachother.

Thanks for your reply @ASJacobs! So in other words, you have compared the results from a different heart rate monitor with the data obtained with your Charge 2 and it seems pretty accurate but you still not getting accurate sleep data, right? Have you tried the restart that I suggested above? If so, and the issue persists, there is something else that I'd like you to try, please review these instructions to set it up your tracker as a new device.
Keep me updated!

I cannot find the pencil icon you referred to. My tracker stopped at 0130 this morning even though I slept until 0800. I was up for abou 5 minutes so that is probably when it stopped. I have a new Charge 2.

Hey @Ronmalt, welcome to the Fitbit forums! Are you using the Fitbit app on your phone or the Fitbit Dashboard on the computer? If it is on a mobile app, remember to tap on the sleep tile > then choose the day you wan to edit > then you'll see a pencil on the upper right corner. If you are looking your sleep on your PC Dashboard, click on log > sleep > click the day you want to edit > finally click on edit sleep.
Let me know if that helps!

My sleep tracker used to be pretty accurate but now when I know I’ve gone to sleep around 10PM it sometimes tracks it correctly & recently is t recording my sleep until 1AM. It’s so frustrating.

I’ve noticed the same thing. It’s happened several times lately.
Fir example, I didn’t go to bed last night until about 2 am & awoke & looking at my Fitbit that says I was in bed prior to 1 am , and slept until 8:30 am. Imposdible when I was awake & reading the Fitbit at 7:40 am.
It makes me wonder when it is so wrong.

But I don't want to have to edit my sleep every night... I haven't had an accurate sleep for months... I wear my wrist band snug on my arm, like you said. Could it be a setting in my phone?

I have the same problem. My Charge 2 ALWAYS starts my sleep at least 2 hours later than I actually go to sleep. I fall asleep very quickly and soundly. No insomnia here. I'm out. But it does not record those first hours. Frustrating.

I had same problem. I took it off and cleaned the back of it well. There was dirt especially on the three charging buttons. Now it works fine!

I love Fitbit & I think their customer service is stellar. At least my experience has been. But that some of these issues here are from 2 years ago & are still ongoing is disappointing. Anyway, regarding this issue, I took mine off of the sensitive setting & it seems a bit more consistent. I wouldn’t use the word “accurate” but I do see an improvement! You would think sensitive would mean it would cause it to pick up things better, but that’s not the case at all. It’s the opposite. Try changing the settings if you have it on sensitive.

Will never buy Fitbits again, mine and my partners is only two months old! Works then doesn't, get charged an extra premium fee for the privilege of paying 100's to own one. Typical American capitalist logic

I have the inspire 2 and this is also sooo frustrating. I was under the impression that when I set my sleep times it would start very near that time, not two or three hours later. What's the point of having this feature? I was expecting accuracy not kinda sorta best guess.
