Notification problem on Charge 2

Hi!

After I changed my phone my Fitbit Charge 2 has been really slow on showing notification, if at all. I have tried several methods to fix the problem, including: restarting my phone, restarting my clock (both once and 3 times in a row), unpairing and pairing up again, logged out and in of the app, re-installed the app, and restarting my phone's bluetooth. My phone (Huawei P20 Pro) is compatible and should not give me any problem. And yes, I've tried serveral of these in a sequence, as suggested by other threads, but to no avail.

The only thing I can't try since I can't find it is the "Enable Notification Widget" option under Notifications, whereas I got the "Enable Transliteration" option instead in its place (I've seen some pictures of the former option by googling it).

From time to time I also got "Notification service not running" error, but nothing happens when I restart or just switch my phone off for a few minutes. The message might also just disappear when I go out and then in again on the notifications.

The best I can get is that my test notification call is up to 15-16 seconds late, whereas my old phone picked them up from the 2nd second or so. My old phone is switched off and in a drawer. No matter what I do the notifications on my fitbit are not like they used to.

Is my fitbit too old? Are there anything I am not seeing? Please help!

@Demekin Welcome! It's nice to have you on board! Sorry to hear about your delay in receiving notifications on the Charge 2. Try refreshing the link between your phone and your tracker by going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on. You can find additional suggestions here.

Let me know how it goes.

I've refreshed the link between my phone and watch several times already, but did it once more. Plus both restarting my phone, and turning it off and leaving it off for some time before turning it on. Same result: The problem is fixed for a few seconds and then the notifications gets delayed or do not go though at all. I've checked and re-checked the permissions, I've given them all I can give. GPS and Bluetooth is constantly on. I've also found that link before, did everything on it to no avail.

Can add that my boyfriend has the same mobile model and watch model as me (both gotten at the same time as me) and he is also struggling with the same exact problem after getting a new phone.

Is it possible that the watch model is getting too old or that something is less incompatible with the Huawei 20 Pro?
