Notifications on Charge 2 only shows sender's name

I only show the sender come through on my Fitbit when receiving a text message and not the scrolling of the actual content of the message. I have this selected also. I've restarted and nothing works. Please fix this bug.

I just received my replacement tracker....and it DID NOT solve the issue of seeing my texts messages...I still only see the name of who is sending me a text.

 

This is a HUGE disappointment!!!!!  I certainly hope that Fitbit figures out this issue because they will most likely lose me as a customer in the near future.

 

I’m curious to know from those that are experiencing the same issue, do you have android phones or iOS phones?  I have an Android....Samsung galaxy s8+

I wonder if they are forcing us to get charge 3? Are their notifications working since update?

I just got mine to work again and hopefully I can remember what I did....

 

Go to settings on your phone

Then apps

Scroll down to Fitbit app

open Fitbit app

scroll down to permissions

Open permissions

make sure call logs, contacts, location, and phone are green (or moved to the right)

 

This seemed to work for me.  I hope it does for all of you.

Ugh - didn't work for me. Mine were already all green. I did turn on the
SMS, but that didn't work. Glad it worked for you

That is a huge disappointment!! I am still experiencing this issue with no fix. I have a Samsung Galaxy 8. Issues like this have been fixed pretty quickly but this is beyond frustrating.

Hhhmmm!  Prior to the app settings in notifications.... I uninstalled the Fitbit app from my phone and reinstalled it.(google play)

I have the galaxy s10 and Fitbit is trying to say that my phones not compatible...... funny it worked perfectly fine until the update. AND when paired to my husbands phone same as mine it works since he didnt have the update on Fitbit.

I've turned mine on several times and it keeps shutting off. Turned ot back on and still nothing for me. Shoot I was hopeful

My husbands blaze wont even work with the update. Says theres a message but wont let me read it.

Ok..... let's give this a try cause mines working now. 

 

 

I uninstalled Fitbit again

Reinstalled it 

Logged in all that fun stuff

Went to apps gave permission for SMS...you know everything weve been trying.

 

 

Then I had this app called smart switch, which I dont remember ever installing but I uninstalled it and now I'm up and running. You guys see if you have the smart switch app and uninstall it and see if that fixes the Fitbit problem because it had the same permissions my Fitbit app did like reading the SMS and calls.

I believe the smart switch app is how you transfer all your information
from one phone to another when you get a new phone....

Maybe it helped that I was using a replacement charge 2? Sent from my Sprint Samsung Galaxy S8+.

So, not sure if anyone is still having the issue, but Fitbit did have another update however it didnt fix my issue. The senders name still comes through but no message attached. I'm over this. Anyone still having issues? I'm not sure what to do at this point and buying another fitbit isn't in my plan.

Still having the same issues. It's really frustrating! 

Hubby has a charge 2 and isn't having this problem. I just don't understand it.

Call Fitbit and complain...They gave me the option of either a replacement charge 2 tracker or 50% off a new product.I went with the replacement and deleted the Fitbit app completely from my phone...reinstalled it and then made sure my notifications where on in the Fitbit app on my phone. That worked for me.... maybe we have a bad batch of fitbits? Sent from my Sprint Samsung Galaxy S8+.
