I only show the sender come through on my Fitbit when receiving a text message and not the scrolling of the actual content of the message. I have this selected also. I've restarted and nothing works. Please fix this bug.

I haven't been able to receive texts on my Charge 2 for a little over a month. I just had an update that downloaded last week and still nothing. My phone is a compatible phone. I have tried all the methods listed and none has remedied the problem. This is quite frustrating!!!

Can you give more directions on what you downloaded exactly? The a p k file i saw said the file may harm your device.

I've been having this issue for months with my Charge 2 and my Pixel 2 XL. (before the recent software update) At one point, I disconnected and repaired the Charge to my phone via the bluetooth settings and the Fitbit app. This fixed the problem for about a day. This is pretty lame that you guys can't get this to work anymore. 😞

Do research before purchasing a galaxy watch! I actually just purchased the galaxy watch active because of the issue I was having with my charge 2. I must say the features and apps are much nicer BUT the Samsung Health app could be better and more user friendly. The calories burned count and floors count keep track way different than Fitbit does in my opinion and not in a good way.
But I rather have my calls and texts show than an accurate floor count!

I just tried the same thing a couple of days ago, Charge 2 w/Pixel 3. The only thing I got was a firmware update on the Charge.
So I guess this post is to allow me to just track the bug until they get it fixed...

I have tried all troubleshooting methods and still cannot get the message just the sender's name. Why does this keep happening?

I completely agree! Just a scripted message to make us think they're doing something. Over a month this has been going on and no resolve? Inexcusable.

They have new devices coming out. When devices get burdensome to use your average consumer will look for a replacement. Once the new devices are released and the sales surge drops off, look for this issue to be resolved.

I think we're basically going to be left in the dark here as there are too many newer trackers available. It's been 2 months now.... It's a shame when something works perfectly fine but is no longer supported because it's too "old" and the newer app versions just don't work on older trackers, which creates so much trash. If I hadn't installed that older version and rolled back I would have thrown this away. But eventually, the Charge 2 will not be supported at all, like my ipad mini that still works as good as the day I bought it but I can't install Netflix on it anymore. Stupid.

OMG - I just got a text that I was able to read on my Fitbit!!! I hope this means it is fixed, not just a fluke. However, all my incoming calls now show up on my Fitbit with the name of the last person I called....always something.
