Hi,
For some reason my Charge 2 displays notifications only when the Fitbit App is On/Active and when I close it, or it closes automatically due to power savings mode on my phone, Charge 2 doesn't receive any notifications.
I tried to follow Fitbit guide recommendations to resolve this with no luck. I turned off power saving mode for the Fitbit App and it didn't help either. What is strange is that when I turn on the App and go into Notifications Settings I have to enable Notifications Access again.
My phone is Xiaomi Mi5S Plus.
Any ideas?

Hi Rich_Laue
Yes I do, but when I close out of the app the notification widget bar disappears and then I have to go back into the app and enable notifications again. Thanks
Best AnswerI just removed Fitbit from memory and Fitbit notifications stayed running. Well actually since I have Fitbit notifications active Fitbit will not remove from memory.
I'm wondering what you mean by close out the app? If your using the kill command, then yes it might also kill the app notifications.
Issue resolved ?
Still.i am facing the same issue
Best AnswerHi Ganeshfantom
My issue must have been some sort of bug because it was resolved when Fitbit released an update to the app.

Do you have fit I notification services enabled. That is if your app has this option.. Please remember when asking about a phone problem it is normally nice to include the phone model.
I had this issue and noone of the solutions actually worked. I had a look and play with the settings. And this solved it for me:
(my phone is the Huawei Mate 20 pro BTW)
Go to phone settings > apps > fitbit
Then on there click 'power usage details' > app launch
(could be called something else on other devices but is basically regarding the power/battery settings).
Here I noticed 'manage autimatically' was on. I turned it off and problem solved. I'm assuming when it's set to manage automatically, it restricts functions to try and save some battery life.
Solved it for me so hope it does for other reading

on my phone Android 8 the setting is under per management. I opened phone settings and topped power into the search bar.
Yes if Fitbit isn't white listed then the power manager will stop the app.
I have the same phone (mate 20 pro) and bought a versa yesterday. My notifications only open when I havent closed the fitbit app on my phone and then when I open app it says phone restart needed. Did you have that issue? Do all your notifications now come through even with all apps closed on your phone?
Best AnswerYes my notifications come through now even when all apps on my phone are closed.
You have to keep Bluetooth on your phone all the time so that it can constable sync. So double check it's on and connected.
Did you try my steps above to see if that worked? As I had the same problem previously but all sorted now.
Best AnswerThere are three parts to the fitbit app.
The drivers that get embedded into the OS.
The notification services
The Fitbit app interface.
The Fitbit app can be closed, usually a swipe off the screen, and notifications will still work.
Killing the Fitbit app will also kill the notification services and you will not receive notifications
