Phantom Elliptical being tracked on its own

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Charge 2 has over the past 3 days started recording time on an elliptical when I have not been near an elliptical. Got credit last night for 149 minutes on the elliptical while sleeping. I have deleted these but any ideas how this is happening?

Welcome to the Forums @SunsetRunner.

Thanks for bringing this up, let's take a look at what is going on.

First I will be moving your thread to the Charge 2 board as I think it is much better for the thread.

I'd like to ask you some questions to better understand what is going on:

  • Is this happening at random times during the day or only during the night while you sleep?
  • Were there any updates on the app or Charge 2 before this started happening?
  • Are the workouts similar in length?

In the meantime I'd like to recommend that you try to edit the way the Fitbit tracks activities automatically. You can force the elliptical activity to be tracked only after a specific amount of time of that information being tracked so that could help in making sure this doesn't happen again. Please click here to read about how to do that.

I look forward to your reply.
