Problems setting up Fitbit Charge HR

 So i'm trying to set up my charge HR to my new phone.  It allows me to put in the 4 digit code on the HR, but then just gets stuck on connecting. 

Here is what i've done so far;

 - reinstalled the app

- restarted bluetooth

- checked that nothing else is connected to the bluetooth

- restarted the phone

- turned off and on the HR

I'm at a total loss as what to do.

SOLVED - i reset the device back to factory settings with this link
