Problems syncing with Charge 3

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Charge 3 has stopped syncing this saturday 12th December 2020 was fine before.  I've rebooted the charge 3, tried to sync no use, removed it from the bluetooth list on my phone, rebooted phone, tried to sync no use.  My phone's bluetooth is able to see other devices e.g. my husbands phone.  We removed the device from the fitbit app on the phone.  Attached charge 3 to the power supply and then tried to add device.  The charge 3 tells us a 4 digit number, the phone can 'see' the charge 3 and we input the 4 dgits into the phone but the charge 3 does seem to connect to the phone.

@MaryHart I hope you're doing well!

Let me help you with this and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. I suggest you clear the connection between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Let me know how it goes.

I'd tried a lot of that.what seemed to have worked was removing the charge 3
from the fitbit app on my phone and then adding it again..this took ages to
connect together but then it did sync the data..I've lost a couple of days
sleep data and heart rate data but the rest seems to be there. The sending
of fitbit data must work in different modes.for instance steps seem to be
updated really well but heart and sleep data seem to require the charge 3 be
placed next to the phone for some time.

Thank you for your ideas.
