Hi there,
Recently upgraded my phone from a Samsung Galaxy S7 to an A70 - I also used the Smart Switch app to keep all my pictures and files. However, when trying to connect my Charge 2 to my new phone, I've been having some issues. I've read some posts and removed my Charge 2 from my old phone and my Fitbit account. When attempting to connect my Charge 2, the app finds my Fitbit, but when I get to the 4 digit code input spot, it fails to connect. Any suggestions?

This may be a problem. The A70 is not on fitbit's list of supported phones at www.fitbit.com/devices and there are lots of posts reporting problems e.g. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Unable-to-setup-Charge-2-with-Samsung-Galaxy-A70/m-p/352...
There are a couple of things to try in that thread that may get you connected but it seems that notifications, at least, will be an issue.
I note that you have removed the fitbit from your old phone. It's also worth deleting any connection to the fitbit in its bluetooth settings as this could be blocking connection to the A70.
