Restart Charge 3 without cable

Can we get an improvement to restart the Charge 3 without the cable? It seems to disconnect from the phone pretty regularly and I don't carry the cable with me since the battery life is so long.

It is the first time my tracker freeze on a Whatsapp notification, and cable is at the office 😐

 

Swapping Clock face clears the screen and everything goes to normal.

There ought to be a way to mark Digityman's suggestion as an acceptable fix! Changing clock face restored functionality to the screen on my Charge 3. Thanks!

Hey. My fitbit won't charge, and i can't do anything with it. I can see what time it is, and my pulse.. But other than that I can't swipe or anything 😞 So I have no idea what I can do to fix it. Since it can't charge, i can't restart it.. Help please! Ps: this is the first time it wouldn't charge.

ps: Its 100% charged, but can't swipe or anything. So when I plug it in, the charger symbol won't show..

Try swapping the clock face from your Phone App

Try changing the clock face in the app on your phone if you don’t have the cable with you. Worked for me!

Screen is black and won't respond. How does "Settings -> About -> Reboot Device" help that if I can't get to it.. 

Or if you are talking about that path in the Fitbit app on the phone, I am not seeing that.

ugh  my charge 3 has died on me twice, during challenges.  I don't have my charger with me.  But even last time, with the charger, it took several tries to reset it.  I'm very frustrated with this product.

@Randrich -- have you tried going to the app and changing the clock face to something else and then syncing?  Several others in this thread report that acts as a 'mini-reboot.'

Hello!  This is pretty basic stuff.  I’m on vacation in Mexico and my Fitbit is no longer paired.  I don’t travel with the cable.   Consider.  Strongly consider a fix to allow pairing without the silly charging cord.

Changing the clock face was the simples solution.

Try changing the Clock face from your fitbit app on your phone. I had the same issue and it worked out very well. Now I can swipe on the screen.

I restarted my charge 3 using your instructions but it didn't show results until I restarted my phone. Then it synced perfectly and quickly. I would suggest you add rebooting one's phone as well as restarting the tracker to get the tracker to sync. Thank you, I'm a happy camper. 🙂
