Resting Heart Rate incorrect

I have been using Charge 2 for over six months. Over the last 3 weeks, suddenly the resting heart rate counter is steadily going up - has gone up by 9 bpm during the last 3 week period. What could be the reason here since no real change in my regimen orhwrwise. My Charge 2 has the software recently updated. Could it be because of that?

@Jogger_Mumbai It is possible that the firmware change may have affected your device. Have you tried restarting your unit to see if it clears the problem?

There are also a variety of real physical reasons for RHR to change. For example, I was on a two week cruise recently and my RHR started rising the day I left and kept rising until it peaked on the day I returned and then steadily continued to drop:Screenshot 2019-08-18 at 11.05.51 AM.png

The stress of travel and the change in normal activity was a trigger for the change in RHR.

I have also noted that my RHR rises about 5-8 points when I catch a cold and the rise usually occurs before any physical symptoms show up. Five years ago I retired and we moved to a different state. A couple of weeks before the actual physical move I noted that my RHR started to rise as well. Anticipation of a change can affect the RHR.
