I have just purchased a charge 3 & the display doesn't come on when I roll my wrist. I have to tap the charge for the screen to wake up. Is that how it should be. Thanks.

I never had to reboot my Charge 2 either. This is a disappointing product.

Of late, The wake feature or display on my Charge 3 doesn’t come on when I raise my Arm above chest level as was happening a few weeks ago. Now I have to tap or press the button below to see the display. How can I rectify the problem? Thanks in advance.

Thank you so much. I had to turn on the wake icon. Then it worked.

I set up a chat with Fitbit and we troubleshooted for some time. Nothing worked for the issue you and I both have with our Charge 3. They are replacing it since it was under warranty.

I don't know if this affects you, but I was having the same problem. Then I realized it had gotten switched into Sleep mode. Go to the Quick Settings menu (hold side button for a second), and see if Sleep is highlighted. If so, tap it. Then screen wake option will be available. Hope it works!

Hello,
I could resolve the problem by completely resetting the device as directed
in trouble shooting section of the device. Then I switched OFF and again ON
the screen wake icon once again. Then it worked fine.
Hope this solves your problem.

This solution didn't work for me. Despite restarting, the wake bulb is gray -- doesn't respond to tapping. Will appreciate any additional advice.

I have tried the fix mentioned in this thread and it doesn't work for me. The screen wake & DND icons are both grayed out and don't respond to my touch. Also, as others have mentioned, there is no option to turn off Quick View in the app. I second the opinion that this is a flawed product and should not be on the market if it doesn't work properly. Also, can one turn the watch off. I saw that listed as a fix as well.

Where is the option to turn off Quick View?
The best solution is update firmware to display either Sleep On, Sleep Off, Wake On, Wake Off, DND On, DND off. Since screen brightness is so poor I can’t tell what’s on or off. Take out the guesswork please.
