I have just purchased a charge 3 & the display doesn't  come on when I roll my wrist. I have to tap the charge for the screen to wake up. Is that how it should be. Thanks.

It is so frustrated , even I restart it , it does not work - the screen still black - sometimes it came as a litte bit light but not like wake on. I can't find an option on how to do it from the app - that will help a lot with this frustration ....

Actually I found the DND was on and was able to turn it off and it works now.

From where did you turn off DND ? Trying to do this from the device I selected sleep by mistake - and now I can't see anything ... 😥 I think the order of the options make it worst - DND, sleep , awake ..

Hello @Dianyc. Welcome to the community forums. @PegLegs It's nice to see you around and thanks for your input.

@Dianyc I'm sorry for the inconvenience and I appreciate your help in following some troubleshooting steps. At this time, I'd like to let you know that there isn't any available option to change the brightness or turn on the screen of your Charge 3 from the Fitbit App.

On a side note, if your Charge 3 goes into Sleep or DND, take into consideration that:

  • Notifications don't cause the tracker to vibrate or the screen to turn on.
  • The screen's brightness is set to dim.
  • Turning your wrist won't cause the tracker’s screen to turn on.

To change this, press and hold the button, and swipe left to access the quick settings screen. Tap a setting to turn it on or off. When you turn off the setting, the icon appears dim with a line through it. For more information, see How do I navigate my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps.

I had the same problem, but fixed it by turning off sleep mode (the setting above screen wake). Turns out you can't have both sleep mode and screen wake on
