Hello @Brilie @ChrissieA @Lisa2384, welcome to the Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Charge 3 won't let you scroll.

If you haven't done it already, please perform a restart to your Tracker by following these steps

Hope this helps. Please let me know how it goes.

That's wasn't a helpful response.

Did anyone find a resolution to get your screen to scroll?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @SunsetRunner. Sorry for the delayed response.

Please try cleaning the display of your Fitbit Charge 3 with a dry cloth. If this doesn't help, besides the regular restart, you can perform a long restart which is a little bit different:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again

I am having the same issue and the restart is not solving the issue..I have only had mine about 4 weeks. It was working until yesterday.

I had a similar problem to this some time back, and as counterintuitive as it seemed, it was fixed by changing the clock face.  I changed it, changed it back, and then everything worked fine again.  (since the restart doesn't seem to be helping everyone, it is at least worth a shot to try).

Best Answer
Yes, restart is not helping mine either. I called fitbit support and she had me doing the the restart and nothing happened. Then she told me, I need a new fitbit.

How did you change the clock face?

How do you change the clock face? Sorry, I’m not a high tech person. I actually called fitbit support. Since restart didn’t work for me either, the rep told me I need a new fitbit. I know I don’t need a new one because my phone was still capturing all my steps and calories etc...my fitbit wasn’t.

@JayMonster I wish I can say it is fixed. It is not. Customer service told me I needed a new Fitbit. I decided to do what others who were facing the same problem did since restarting didn’t work. However, I think I created more problem for myself.

I did what someone in the fitbit community tried. I logged out of the fitbit app and allowed my tracker to drain out its battery. I left it alone for a whole week. I recharged my tracker two days ago after seeing your post.

The problem I am facing now is, my tracker has to be added to my fitbit app. Due to the fact the screen does Nite scroll, I am unable to see the pairing # that Is send to my tracker from the app, so I can enter it and pair the two again.🤦‍:female_sign:

I can tell the app is connecting to my tracker. Cause when it sends the number over, my tracker vibrates. The only problem, it is not scrolling to show the number. So, changing the clock face or doing anything else seems impossible now without the tracker and app pairings.

@Pauley310 I hope you got your fixed. Whatever you do, don’t log out of your fitbit app, unless your screen can scroll.

@EdsonFitbit do you have any suggestion on how I can retrieve the number sent to my tracker by my app to pair the two?

My screen won’t let me scroll on my Fitbit app. Is it something I’m doing?

Best Answer

@Dozed123 Thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community.

When you say your screen won’t let you scroll on the Fitbit app, are you referring to the Fitbit app on your cellphone? If so, please make sure that you have the latest version 3.8. You can also reboot your phone and try again.

If you are having difficulties with your Fitbit Charge 3, please confirm that you have followed the steps mentioned above.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
