Buddy gave me his old charge 2 

just set up my Fitbit acct

when I try and pair charge 2 to the app just says searching 

how do I put a used charge 2 in pairing mode?

Try the following:

 

1. Check with your friend to make sure the unit is removed from the friend's account.

2. Put the unit on the charger then start the app and try again to add the unit to your account.
