Setting up notifications on fitbit charge 3

Hi I am having a few teething problems with my new fitbit charge 3 and hoping someone could help with the below issues?

Trying to set up notifications from my fitbit app. I have followed instructions and tried restarting my phone as suggested but still no luck. When I try and add notifications from apps such as strava, what's app etc an error message is displayed which reads 'Notifications service not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker' I have tried restarting my phone. I have tried turning notifications off then restarting my phone then turning them on but no luck the message is still there. I have even tried a test call notification which seems to work however no text messages or other notifications are coming through on my tracker?

Second problem is that I went on a bike ride today hoping to record all my data and have it transferred to strava. While on my ride I stopped at traffic lights. When I arrived home my ride had been finished half way through and all data from after the traffic lights was missing?

Any help is much appreciated!

Regards

Nick

May I ask what phone are you asking about @NickT86?

From the notification screen have you tapped the 3 dots in the top right. Disabled notification services?

Back out and setup notifications, this should ask to accept permissions

Hi Rich

I am using a Huawei p30 pro. I have checked the fitbit website and can't see it on the list of devices that won't work correctly with my charge 3? I've tried clicking on the 3 dots and turning notifications off and turning them back on and restarting my phone and everything in between! The error message is now constantly displayed even when notifications are switched off.

Oops power management as the help doc explains. Some android phones need power management with the Fitbit app disabled.
