Sleep Time & Discover button not working

Every time I click on my step button, my sleep record, and the discover button in the app on my phone it automatically opens another app (ActiveFit). I have the other app connected to report how many steps I ha e to get an incentive for my health insurance. This only started happening after I did the update.

Is the Fitbit registering your stats as usual?

I don't sleep with my Fitbit but when I get up in the morning the burned calories has already registered over 300 burned calories.  How can that be?????  It makes me think that the total is never accurate.

Yes. Everything is registering but anytime I click on the sleep to see the graph or the pattern from last couple of days, it just opens the other app.

Burned calories happen and Fitbit knows you're breathing and moving, so you're burning some calories. Since the day begins at midnight, it's not uncommon to see those calories when you wake up. You don't have to wear the Fitbit for it to know the calories are being burned.
