Sleep log looks different

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Started out looking like a regular graph you could read. Now only shows lines from top to bottom...no graph..no way to really see sleep pattern.

I have restarted several times. Disconnected from bluetooth, logged out app and restarted phone. Still didn't revert to graph..

Is this a regular occurrence or just one night?  If just one night, my own inclination would be to just wait to see if it keeps happening.

It would probably require a posted screen shot to understand your graph.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

It's happened for the past week.

Not sure how to post a screenshot

Do you mean the old Sleep Pattern that shows Awake, Restless, and Asleep time rather than stages: REM, deep, etc?

It would show a graph showing what time and how long you were in each stage. Now only blue and red lines top to bottom...no up and down graph.

Still not working correctly. Doesn't show the sleep pattern graph. Just blue lines

Still not track sleep properly...no graph

This is happening to me as well. One of the main reasons I got the Charge 2 was to track my sleep. It was showing my Awake, REM, Light and Deep Sleep patterns. Now it’s only bars of Asleep, Restless and Awake.

I tried attaching an image but there isn’t an option to upload via phone it seems.

The same here and no solution seems to come. I had contact with helpdesk too, but they only come with reset and other things that are here on the forums....

@TammyWNV era restart the tracker.

Now lthrough the app,

Tap on the sleep tile,

Tap on one of the offending sleep records,

A chart of the record will pop-up,

Look immediately below the chart,

Fitbit will have a thought on why your not seeing sleep stages, what is this thought?

The requirements of sleep stages are 3 hours of sleep and a consistent heart rate reading.

I played around with this before bed. I changed wrist, cleaned the sensor and made sure there were no lotion on the area. It worked last night. Hopefully this keeps up.

Hi TammyWNV,

As previously advised in your other thread, several Charge 2 owners are experiencing issues in 2018 that were not present in 2017. This includes missing sleep stages (i.e. awake, REM, light sleep, deep sleep) and is mentioned in the following thread: Fitbit Charge 2 tracking sleep like a flex. You might want to put in your $0.02 in the thread and look at the suggested workarounds.

None of the workaround are satisfactory and may not work for you.

It appears to me that when I manually select “begin sleep now” when I am going to bed, then the following day (when I select “awake now”) my logs will look as you describe. (With flat colored lines and no graph.) It will also show how many times I was awake, restless, and asleep. (Unlike the other graph which does not show this.)

Now, if I do NOT manually tell Fitbit that I am going to sleep and then wake up normally, the graph will be different. Showing a graph with stages of light sleep, deep sleep, and REM.

I am trying to figure this out as well..

This is an older post, but --

You're not supposed to manually tell the Charge 2 you're sleeping now -- it needs to automatically detect sleep for Sleep Stages to be provided. . .

Hi,

My advice? Just wait till it goes back to normal. I'm totally sure this is
a Fitbit problem. It got back to normal for 8 days, than it suddenly went
back to not normal, than one day it was normal again and now it's not
normal for 3 days again.

I decided not to be upset about it anymore, there is nothing you can do
about it, I tried everything and nothing helped.

Although I think it's a bad thing that it doesn't work as it supposed to,
and many people have this problem. It seems Fitbit doesn't take this very
seriously....

So on Tuesday, i had the sleep stages show up the following morning. I then did this on Wednesday and i only had the patterns. I thought it was because i had my BlueTooth switched off. So last night i have BT on and sill only the basic sleep patterns.

Whats gone on?
