Sleep time not correct any longer

The last few weeks my sleep time start and end time are correct, BUT the reported duration of sleep is always two or three hours short. Last night I went to sleep at 11:23 and woke at5:45. the reported duration was 4hr 16 min. Not really sure what to do. I tried to replace the charge2 with a new Charge 3, but it did not work right and I sent it back. I really would like to keep the Charge 2 if I can get it working correctly. Is there any way to do a total reset, or reload the firmware on the charge2?

Accepted Solutions

When you look at duration, that is actual time asleep, not all the in bed.

From phone app, click on sleep tile.  Below the bar chart, it lists each day.  Click on one of them to see your sleep stages.  It shows time awake, rem, light, and deep.  Check if the duration you are looking at, plus the time awake, equals the time you thought it should be.

Thanks! You are correct, I just realized I am getting the old basic sleep and not the new format. Something must have happen with a update to the app. I will contact fitbit! The new format only excludes the awake time.
