Sleep tracker overwrites with incorrect data

Hi, I’ve had my charge 2 for about a month now and am finding a problem with the sleep tracker. I wake up in the morning and usually the sleep data with sleep stages is all there but I then go to the gym and leave my fit bit in my bag (couldn’t wear it for my workouts as it would get broken). When I then put it back on again it then thinks I’ve been asleep the whole time and will overwrite the data from the previous night with basic sleep data from the moment I went to sleep until the moment I put the Fitbit back on after my workout. I don’t understand why it does this, anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

A warm welcome to the Community @Carolinem1983! I appreciate the details that you've mentioned. It's pretty weird that's tracking sleep when you're not wearing it.

I would like you to restart your Charge 2 and then check if it happens again when you're not wearing it.

If it's tracking your sleep when you're not wearing it and then at night, it should show you two chunks of sleep. If you're only receiving one, then provide me with a screenshot of what you're seeing in the morning and then when it replaces the one that was previously tracked.

Keep me posted.

Hi! My issue also can be related to  the topic though my sleep is being weird in a different way. Every morning when I wake up it shows correct numbers, bur overwrites data from yesterday and all previous days. So if today I slept 7h48min it will become the number for yesterday, before yesterday and all days in my history. Tomorrow it will change for tommorows hours.

Welcome to the Community @Rogmarina! Thank you for the details that you've shared. It's pretty weird that your sleep information is overriding for yesterday's info.

I would like you to log out from the app and then log back in again. If you're still seeing that your sleep data is changing, please provide me with a screenshot of today's sleep and then when it changes all previous days.

Keep me posted!
