I have been using Charge 2 for over 2 years. My height is 173 cms and my walking stride can't be 1 mtr. When I wear my Fitbit and use Fitbit app to track exercise and do 5 kms, the steps shows about 5000 only. When I don't wear fitbit and use fitbit app, the similar 5 km shows steps around 7500 which seems reasonable and correct.
Last weekend I did 20.11 Kms walk wearing fitbit and tracked using fitbit app, the steps showed 20100. This is totally incorrect. It should have been around 30,000.
It is frustrating when you wear fitbit to show your progress but then you believe its materially far from correct.

@piyushkanth A warm welcome to our Community!
Let me help you with your distance calculation. Your device uses the number of steps and stride length to calculate the distance. You can improve the accuracy by measuring and logging your stride length. Feel free to use these instructions to do this. Regarding the GPS try these suggestions to improve the signal reception.
Let me know how it goes.

I am having the same issue. I walked 10.88km, and it calculated a total of 8,728 steps. My stride length is set, my phone’s GPS is fine. I’m really confused how it has calculated less than 1 step per metre.
