About a month ago, my Charge 2 started recording LESS steps, though my activity level had increased. At first I thought it was MY device messing up, so I swapped with my wife and nothing changed. The odds of both devices being off is nearly zero, so there must have been some software update change. I confirmed this suspicion recently when I just started asking everyone who I met with a Charge 2 and they've all noticed this. What's up??

@JimD Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! Sorry to hear that your Charge 2 isn't counting all your steps. Your tracker will detect the movement on your arm and translate that movement into steps. There are situations in which your arm may move but you won't be actually walking and vice versa. This may happen when you are playing the drums, burping a baby or clapping and the opposite can happen when you push a cart. It can also happen when driving. For added sensitivity you can try wearing your tracker on your dominant hand but select that hand as non dominant on the tracker’s settings to make it more sensitive to movement. Also restart your device.
Let me know how it goes!

This is my 3rd FitBit.....4th, if you count my wife's that I'm currently using.......so I understand the user interface protocols, hacks and tricks. What I'm experiencing is lower steps at the same time as increasing my activities. It started in January, in sync with my new year quest to start working out more intensely.....though totally unrelated. As I stated earlier, by random query I've found that my case is not isolated. So again, what's up?
