Steps not syncing correctly to work week hustle challenge

I manually logged my workout on the treadmill today. My steps updated on my Fitbit and on the app, but the steps did not carry over to the work week hustle challenge. I tried turning my Fitbit on and off and even deleting the app and re-installed it. Any suggestions?

It is correct @ambomb that only steps recorded by your tracker will be sent to a challenge. 

When you say manually added, did you add the log after the fact through the Fitbit app,?

Or did you put your Charge 2 in its treadmill mode?

I added it after the fact through the app. I did not put my Fitbit in treadmill mode. I don’t know how to do that.
