Steps not updating for challenges

I'm participating in a weekend challenge. Yesterday, I met my goal and had 12,000+ steps, but only 4,000+ appear on the challenge. My dashboard reflects the correct number of steps. I read elsewhere that "manually logged" steps do not count, but I have not manually logged any. I wore my charge hr while exercising yesterday and all of my steps reflect on my device. My fitbit and app are updated. Any suggestions?

I could be because it was started in a different time zone?

Was it?

That must be it! It mentioned I was in a different time zone when I accepted the challenge. Thanks!

I am having the same probelm.  My Charge HR is syncing to the IPhone app - but it is not syncing to the challenges.  This is a new problem - I havecompleted several challenges recently and I have had no other issues..  Any ideas....

I am having the same issue. My challenge was started by someone in a different times zone. How do I fix this?

So if the person who started the challenge is in a different time zone, my steps won't sync properly? That makes no since! Mine is off by 17,000 steps!

I have this problem aswell. I have to manually log my treadmill

distance & time each day, but my steps are calcualted by my charge. I am in a different time zone, however

the app just says I will start 2 hours later. Its annoying that my steps logged each day are incorrectly added added up in the workweek hustle challenge. I am showing 18136 in the challenge for yesterday & today so far yet I recorded 27624 yesterday & today so far???

My Charger HR does not keep accurate steps and my elliptical time is way off. I noticed also my heart rate is different than my elliptical. Right now I am not impressed with my new Charger HR

Has anyone figured out this issue yet? My dashbaod is showing 23 444 steps for today but only 13 536 have been recorded in the challenge. I am very frustrated by this.

I was told that if you log a walk/run (in other words you manually add
it) those steps will not count toward your challenge. This was my
problem. I was logging my treadmill workouts and the challenge does not
recognize those steps. (since you could be cheating and logging things
you didn't do and there is no way for the challenge to know that).

No. My challenge was started by someone in a different time zone. However I was never given an explanation as to why the steps in my dashboard did not match the steps recorded in the challenge. It was off SIGNIFICANTLY!

After I updated my fitbit yesterday, I don't see the steps on my phone, only miles. How do I get the steps back?

I'm having the same problem!! My dashboard shows my steps but in the challenges I have 0. I would've won them all if my steps counted!! Mine is all same time zone.

My fitbit has synced with the app and shows the correct number of steps, but my challenge is showing I have 0 steps. My out of town family called to see if I had broke my leg... How do we fix this!?

Frustrating to not be able to use one of the features of the Fitbit! I hope there is a solution soon!

I'm participating in a challenge with 4 other people and as of today my dashboard and steps were correct, but something has not gone array.  My dashboard and steps are not correct with each other.

For a number of the challenges, they start and stop at midnight in the time zone of the person who created them. Thus, as someone in the UK in a challenge started from the US, I can expect my challenge to start and end at 5am (since there's a 5 hour time difference between GMT over here and whatever Eastern Time is called over there. Thus, any steps I do before 5am on the first day won't be counted in the challenge but I can count steps until 5am after the end of the final day so it all balances out in the end.

This doesn't apply to all challenges but I thought it was all pretty well described in the app for each challenge.
