My Fitbit Charge 2 stopped sending text & telephone notifications awhile back. It always says Notifications are ON.  It also stopped sending me email reminders for when my Fitbit needs charging. How can I fix these things?

Haven't found a solution yet either.  Even after trying all the tips/suggestions/help that I can find.

The makers of Fitbit are a joke. Thousands of responses on this and still no solution. They need to give us new devices for free for the hassle. If I made a product that people wanted and needed and they had nothing but problems, I'd make it right somehow. Fix our stuff Fitbit, **ahem**!

I have restarted both my Fitbit and my phone, multiple times, turned my bluetooth on and off, uninstalled the app, which made the problem worse.  Every single notification on both my phone and my Fitbit are turned on.  If anyone can get text messages to work on their Fitbit, I would be interested in the solution.
