Hello,
I have been tracking the distance of my runs on my Fitbit pretty standardly for several years. With my new Charge 3, I'm noticing a huge difference between my Fitbit tracked runs and what my phone says I'm running. I did all the trouble shooting with making sure Stride Length (Account >> Advanced Settings >> Stride Length) was set to Automatically set. But when I make sure that option is toggled to green and exit out, I come back to the option and its greyed out. So I have concerns that my Fitbit is not saving that I wish to have my stride automatically calculcated using Fitbit's formula of Steps Taken x Stride Length.
If anyone has any suggestions to keep the Stride Length set on Auto, that would be great.
If any Super Users out there had any other tips for me to keep the Fitbit logging my mileage properly, that would also be fantastic. I do all of the things you're supposed to in making sure that the GPS is tracking the run when I start. And, as I'm in training, I'd really like for my GPS-enabled smart watch that I paid for to actually track my distance and exercise properly. (As a note, I don't want to have to reset, add back my Fitbit everytime a distance issue comes up since I noticed with the Charge 3's firmware that process takes too long and is full of bugs and issues along the way...)
Thanks in advance.
Alex
