I've been thinking about getting a Fitbit Charge 4 (currently $116 on Amazon with $8 shipping) but I've seen some kind of mixed reviews.
I'm looking for mainly something to track heart rate, calories, etc. as I walk or run around, plus basic functionality as a watch. Ideally with GPS (which I know the charge 4 has).
The Charge 4 seems to fulfill this role, and is way cheaper than something like an Apple Watch (and I'm not really interested in any fancier features). Mainly looking for bang for my buck.
However, I have heard very mixed reviews about the durability, mainly about the strap breaking. Does anybody have any reviews about it? Especially about how the durability has treated you?
If you don't recommend the Charge 4, do you have recommendations for something similar that's available at a relatively low price?

I really love mine. The band did break, but I got a stretchy cloth kind that I like better. It’s been really great, but now my battery has suddenly been dying halfway through the day. I’ve been in these forums and it seems standard that these die about a year and a half in. That’s disappointing.

I have had my Fitbit charge for for just over 18 months and the plastic connector that the strap attaches to has broken. Right now during the day I place the Fitbit tracker inside a sock and wear it that way. Good night I take my old charge to can use that to get my sleep information. I would not replace my charge for with another charge for. I am considering a charge five because other family members use the Fitbit tracker and watches. I am a blind user and the iOS 50th application does not work well with the Apple voiceover screen reader. A lot of the basic thing that is not available to blind iOS users. The Fitbit has helped to motivate me to walk and be more active so that I am thankful. I will wait for the charge five to be put on sale and then consider upgrading.
