Timer for charger 2

Will the do an update that includes a timer for charge 2. Right now it only has a stop watch

I'm up for the timer as well -- sometimes I just want to have a vibrate after 7 minutes...please consider this important improvement!

This is far from solved, after 2 years of the procrastinating here is the answer fro Fitbit moderators:

I am so disappointed with this decision, I paid my watch Charge2 almost 200,00 euros and you treat us like we are sheep, you managed to delay a simple decision to integrate timer for what you obviously have complete code and UI since you already have integrated stopwatch. And like that is not enough you just try to force us to buy a completely new model because of this simple feature. That's not a good fate! And It is not that I am not going to buy Charge 3, but because of this cheap experience, I am not going to recommend anyone to buy and use Fitbit at all!

The logistics of adding a countdown timer to a device was the only one buttons presents some unigue programing.

Tap the button to get to the stopwatch/timer. Tap the screen to choose timer. Hold in the button to start the timer. Maybe we can have the buttons hold to activate timer mode and a tap to start the timer.

Please not that there will not be a way to set the time on the timer from the charge 2, the timer will need to be setup thrugh the Fitbit app. 

It might be possible to have 3:modes on the stopwatch/timer, they would be Stopwatch/timer/timer setup. This extra mode will require a series of button and screen taps to present the time.

With this type of confusion I can see why a countdown timer has not been added.

Yep, there are two ways to do interaction with Charge2, not one! First, there is a physical button. Second, tapping the top of the watch switch home screen flawlessly which means that simple interaction explained below will work without a problem.

Step 1

Press the button to switch the screen to a timer (same workflow like selecting stopwatch).
Step 2

When the timer screen is selected tap with a finger the top of the display/watch to switch between 1, 5,10 or 15 minutes.

Step 3

Press the button to start/stop the timer.

Your customers asked for this feature, customers... People that believed in your product and give your company trust and real money, more than 100-200 dollars per customer. It is really insulting to keep people on the community forum for 2 years to wait for an answer and not to be serious about the request. Your words saying "we are ok", "we tried" and etc... but your actions show that you don't care about us because we already give you money (not you personally but company). I needed 10 minutes of thinking to resolve the issue that "logistics" team could not solve in two years. Your company have a budget that probably exceeds dozens of millions of dollars for the development team and they didn't even try. I am Senior UI/UX designer and I was working with developers and project managers for last 10+ years so please don't explain to me that it is to difficult to do or to much for your budget... Give me 10K and two of my developers and I will make this "unique programming" in 2 weeks. Really not a problem.

Just to note, it is not my intention to make the discussion here. Just to point that this useful feature is not added because it is too complicated to implement, not because there is no budget for the development but because the company decided not to implement it so they can sell the new model to the same customers.

You might not be asking for a discussion, but this post is in the community help board. This is where the community of Fitbit users help eaach other out. In general there will not be any body in this thread that has enough power to make this decision.

Fitbit never said that every suggestion will be implemented.

While a timer could be added it will not be easy to control with the only inputs being a tap of the button and a tattoo of the screen.. 

The charge 2 does not have any screen touch input like the Charge 3 has

If you tapped the screen it would scroll through the options like 30 mins 30secs 1 min etc. And you could customize those options in the Fitbit app
