So this is a rant because I can't see how anyone can help me. I am so fed up! You name the problem, I've got it!! I bought the Fitbit Charge 3 one year and a half ago and it worked fine until about 2 months ago when it started not tracking distance while walking. Then it was not tracking distance while cycling. Then it was not syncing at times. Then it was not showing the pulse in the app anymore. Right now my Iphone sees the device only sporadically. I've reset, rebooted, resynced, forgotten the device, re linked it to the phone (Iphone XR), force quit the app, ect. I've gone through all the loops with the tech support people, with the help forum, on my own. you name it I've done it... I've spent way more time as I've ever wanted on debugging a product. This is not a $20 gadget from the drugstore! Fitbit really needs to work on the app and make it work again because right now I (and I'm sure I'm not alone) am wearing a device that doesn't do anything. And my next step is going to be to switch to another brand if this doesn't get fixed.

Just recently, my Fitbit dashboard shows everything but steps & calories burned. How did you get in touch with tech support?

I said I would give you an update to let you know how things were going guys, so here it is. After making my Iphone run the Fitbit app instead of my Ipad (the phone is recent, not the Ipad) and re-installing the Charge 3 on the phone and removing it from the app and putting it back, and basically doing all the resetting, rebooting, turn Bluetooth off, power off the phone, Bluetooth back on, ect, the tracker and the app synced well for a day and then gradually stopped working well together. The tracker always tracks one more lap than I actually do in the pool. There is no reason for that. I set the tracker and start swimming. My pulse doesn't appear in the app and one time didn't even appear on the tracker. The GPS has stopped working (it doesn't sync from my phone anymore whether I walk or cycle. So my solution didn't work and I'm at a loss. There you are. I wish someone from the company had a solution to offer me but I don't even know how to reach them. ;-((

New update.
Well today, my Fitbit Charge 3 died. I took it off after my swimming session, it had dutifully registered 27 lenghts, which is impossible as I get in and get out of the pool from the same side, but it had been doing that lately. It din't used to, though. When I tried to put it on again the screen started alternating between screen wake and notification and buzzing. I normally don't get any notifications. So I tried to perform a reset, the button was stuck in. I pressed longer anyway to fo a longer force reset. And the whole device stopped responding or went to sleep. I don't know but it won't start again. There is no more green flashing light at the back when I pick it up, no contact when I connect it to the computer.
It anyone has any thoughts on the matter they would be welcome. Did I forget to perform any action that would wake it up?
There is apparently a new app update. But it seems to be too late for me.
