Two entries for the same run?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've just done a run and manually started the app on my phone. Whilst running autotrack commenced on my C3 on my wrist. I know have two records for the run, both mapped but one says 5miles and one says 4.23 miles.

Which entry is correct? Surely they should be exactly the same as they were using GPS?

@_BixyBoo_   When you started your run on the app, the GPS was connected right away.  When you use the Run Autodetect, your Charge 3 has to recognize that you are running and then it connects when you agree. I don't have a Charge 3 on my account right now, but I have had it take well over a minute for my Versa 2 to autodetect the run.  This is why you got two different distances -- there were two different start times.  An experienced runner can easily run that 0.77 mile in a minute.

I know there are users with not fully compatible phones that use the Fitbit app to track a run -- this Fitbit feature is known as MobileRun.  Some users like MobileRun because it has the Voice Cues.  In the software world, MobileRun and your Charge 3 Run Autodetect don't seem to know how to "talk" to each other.  This is why you got two records.  The recommended way to track a run and get a complete map is to use the Exercise App on the Charge 3 itself with the Run selected.

If you want to use MobileRun, you should turn your Run Autodetect Off or you will continue to get duplicate records.

The autotrack recording start time is the same as the app tracking and the autotrack says I've ran 5 miles where as the app tracking states 4.23 even though the route is identical on both maps.

I get exacrly the same thing. Same route shown twice, both with different distances. one say 8.34km, the other says 6.83km? I start the run on the phone and end with two entries.
