Think I need to reboot charge 4 but I can't enter settings to do that

So much this. 

I'm replacing my existing charge 4 with a new one because the watch band broke on the tracker side. My first FitBit had no problems, but this new one is garbage. I research the issue on the forums, and the answer from staff is to "just wait 6 days", then subsequently tell folks it's not an issue, and "we're just giving you what you want". 

Complete non-sense. 

This product is broken. I feel bad for the support reps here; they're not FitBit engineering. Regardless, they're our only avenue to voice concerns.

I've had my Fitbit for 6 days. I've read the forum's questions and answers. I've checked everything, done everything. Still no access to settings. No weather or agenda availability. I was excited about getting my Charge 4 special edition and basically it sucks.

I've had my Charge 4 for 7 days now, got the same symptoms and the same response from support,  just wait. Guess the only option next is to return it...

It seem the same for all users with this issue here -> return the Charge 4.

 

Fitbit never find a solution for month....

@MoonWind72 and @jonfri01. it sounds like you never received the final firmware. Is that so? 

I would do another Add Device. Don't remove the tracker, but choose the replace option.

@Rich_Laue - I'm still on 1.94.13 and have tried this. I can get it to pair no problem, but replacing the tracker doesn't seem to trigger the FW update. 

Been on this FW version since April 10th, so 22 days at this point. The FitBit has been syncing (maybe every 15-30 minutes) the whole time, but the update still won't trigger.

Hi @Rich_Laue , yes that is the case. 

Tried as you suggested - no difference.

 

The Windows App and the Andriod App both report that the firmware is up to date, when it obviously isn't.

I've tried using a different phone and my computer. Nothing is helping this download. I never purchased something that wasn't ready to use.

If I wait any longer it may not be returnable. I love the fit, the lightness of it, and all it has to offer, if I could just be able to use all it has to offer.

@KingRanch27 the charge 4 has never had a firmware of 1.95.13

Same is here. The same Firmware version, 7 days... And an App that says, that "your Firmware is up to date". And yes - the settings on the watch does not open!

After 2.5 weeks suddenly the fitbit App popped up to say there was a firmware update which installed in about 30 mins and fixed the issues.. I'd started the process to send it back.

Mine took about 3 weeks and the update suddenly appeared.

Hi JuanFitbit

The main situation is my fitbit charge 4 settings app isn’t opening, whenever I click on the icon the screen freezes for 10 seconds turns black for 30 seconds then after that automatically turns back on and shows the clock/home screen.

Yes the tracker freezes.

Every other app starts except for the settings app.

No I haven’t received an error message. 

 

I am using the iPhone 6s plus.

HI @Scarlett_mei ,

 

I had exactly the same problem and tried everything. After about 2 weeks all of a sudden the App prompted me for a firmware update and after that it was all fine. Nothing I could do helped, it was just a frustrating waiting game.
