Unable to edit run’s distance

When I try to edit my run’s distance in the app, it reverts back to the original distance immediately after i close out. How do you fix this? I’ve seen some posts from 2018 about this issue too but was it ever resolved? Thank you!

@MarreFitbit I noticed that you are very knowledgable about fitbits, could you please help me?

Hi there @mir3, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for pinging me out, I'll be glad to help you. 😉

Please note that auto-detected exercises and exercises you start through the Fitbit can't be edited, only the ones you manually log in. With that said, I would like to suggest you to check the following article in how your stride length influence in the distance of your exercises and how you can edit it to improve the accuracy on them: Can I change my stride length in my Fitbit account?

If you manually logged your run, I would like to suggest you to force-quit the app, then open it again and edit your exercise. If you're still having trouble or if you're unable to edit the exercise, please reply to us with a screenshot of what you're able to see, this will be very helpful for us to check this further. To find instructions about attaching a photo into your post, click here.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, I'll be waiting to hear from you.

I’m having the same issue with my new Charge 3. Didn’t have a problem editing my distance with my charge 2. I run on a treadmill and the distance is never accurate on my Fitbit so I always manually edit it in the app without a problem. However now, when I try to edit it it immediately reverts back to the wrong distance and pace. I tried logging out of the app and logging back in but that didn’t change anything.
it would be pointless to have a Fitbit if it won’t log my workout correctly. Help, please.

If you can't edit when it is wrong, what is the point?
