Unable to exit exercise mode

Today I tried to use the exercise timer, and though I've reached my goal it is neither stopping nor exiting the screen. I have tried to swipe every which way, and all I am getting is stats on an exercise that has gone on for 3 times longer than the goal I set. I tried holding the side button and even just touching the screen, but so far nothing has made a difference.

The only thing I can do is change screens to see exercise stats (that are completely inaccurate at this point) - mph, mph avg, fat burn, and calories. I am able to see the main screen with the time, but I cannot bring up anything else, and I can't get the exercise tracker to stop.

Reading the manual, it sounds as if it should notify once the goal is reached and then stop. It did not stop.

Any help is appreciated.

Called customer support. Got it worked out.

If anyone else has this issue you specifically need to be on the timer screen and double tap the side button to bring up the pause screen.

nowhere in the manual does it explain this. Why would you have to call customer service to figure out how to do such a basic thing as exit one of the apps on the Charge 3?

Ha! I had the same problem just now. Did what you said and got back to the clock face. Thanks for writing up the solution!

Thanks for posting! Yep, it works to bring up new menu to pause or finish. Not intuitive at all.

Didn't work. Stuck on two zeros. Can only scroll through minutes and seconds.  Very frustrating.. Got stuck in an endless loop of screens after taking a shower and forgetting to set water lock.

I've had that issue in the past, if I double click the button on the left side of the screen a number of times it will finally let me end and exit.

Hi Stacy, fantastic it worked for me on my Sense. I was at the point of buying another brand as I had factory reset my watch as other things were not working. After the factory reset the only thing left to fix was stopping the watch after exercise. I really had tried everything without success until I read your solution. What a shame it does not tell you this in the manual. Thanks again!

This just happened to me to...Took me a minute to get the solution to work. Actually, had to double tap both side 'sensor' buttons super fast. Finally got the screen that says 'Finish'.  I have the Inspire 2, so maybe that's the difference. At any rate, thanks!
