I got a new phone about a year ago and it will not connect to my Charge 2 fitbit. I have kept my old phone connected to the fitbit because it will sync. When the old phone syncs, my new phone gets updated, but I cannot use the old phone to sync. I finally got tired off this and have tried everything I can find to get the new phone to connect. I deleted the device from the fitbit app and tried numerous times to add it back using the new device. It comes up saying it found my device, gives me a number to enter and then spins for 5 minutes before it times out and tells me to make sure thedevice is turned on, restart my blue tooth, and make sure all other devices are not around to interfere. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app from my phone, but got the same result. My new phone is an LG V30.

Hi @Hawaiki thanks for your reply, welcome aboard. I'm happy to assist you with your Charge 2 connection difficulties.
First, I'd like to appreciate your effort and patience troubleshooting this matter prior posting, I totally understand how frustrating this situation can be for you. Let me share with you that the LG V30 is not currently listed as a compatible device with our products and services, therefore, you may experience certain connection difficulties with it. I'm aware that some users are able to use incompatible devices with our Fitbit products, however, we cannot ensure a proper function of all its features due to this incompatibility concern, therefore, even though your new mobile device is not compatible, lets give it a try to our help article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.
If by any chance you're still unable to use your Fitbit with your mobile device, I suggest you to try with a compatible device or your computer instead to avoid this situation.
I'll be here if you need anything else, please keep me posted.
