It states looking but will not sync. It also shows its trying to sync my surge but it’s in my jewelry box and I haven’t worn it in years.

Hi @Kdcar welcome aboard, I'm happy to help you with your Charge 2 that's not syncing.
Seems odd that the Fitbit app is trying to sync your Surge device even though you haven't used in years. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and take in consideration all the requirements and troubleshooting steps that are specified there, then let me know how it goes. Also, I recommend you to unpair the Surge tracker from your account and Bluetooth devices to avoid any Bluetooth connection difficulties with your Charge 2.
