My fit bit strap has broke an and its been in a drawer for 3 weeks. How then is it possible to get a weekly summary this week stating I have walked 7 miles? I will never trust my fit bits accuracy again.

Hello @Burbage
I’m aware that recently weekly summaries were experiencing an issue lately. Mostly about individuals not receiving their summaries for quite some time now. It could be a reflection of something you did just before you put your Fitbit in the drawer. Look closely at the date of the summary as it might be in error. It’s quite possible that they are still trying to work out the “kinks” it’ was experiencing and your summary might contain errors. Just a thought 😉

Hello again @Burbage
Your Charge 4 definitely shouldn’t be registering steps if it’s sitting in your drawer but that explains why your weekly summary has new data on it. It definitely sounds like you should try restarting your Charge 4 to see if that fixes the issue. Just press and hold the button on your Charge 4 for about 8 seconds and release the button when you see a smiley icon. You’ll feel the Charge 4 vibrate indicating it has restarted. Hopefully that will address the phantom steps. I hope you find a new strap for your tracker. They sell tons of them on Amazon that are really reasonably priced.
😉 So, your weekly summary is actually correct if your tracker is not functioning correctly. .if your Charge 4 needs restarting to resolve the problem it should also resolve your weekly summary question. I suppose the mystery is resolved. I hope this provided you with an answer for your original question.
