Weird units problem miles/km

For some time, while I've had my mileage goal set at 5 miles (and my steps goal at 11,000; the two are close to equivalent for me), while both things seem to get counted properly, the orange circle associated with daily mileage does not turn green until I get to about 8 miles. The horizontal distance goal line on the distance history screen, however, is at 5 miles on my phone.

On the website, things are different. The daily stats are the same, but if I look at the goals, it says my goal is 8.05 miles, and the horizontal line on the distance history screen is at 8.05 miles.

I tried changing the goal on the web to 5 miles, and the goal being tracked on my phone changed itself to 3.11 miles immediately.

I was on chat with support for quite a while and they threw up their hands. I will note that to two decimal places, 8.05/5 and 5/3.11 are both the number of kilometers in a mile. The units are set to miles both on my phone and in the web app.

I've attached photos of two screens from my phone and one from the web to show the problem, both after having changed the goal on the webpage from 8.05 to 5 miles.

Does anyone have any ideas? Support escalated this, but I don't have much hope of a solution from them.

You are right.  It is miles/km confusion in the apps.  My advice is to learn to live with it for now.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

At least they aren't programming the Mars lander. Or maybe they did. Thanks, and a Moody Blues line to boot.

sounds like a apple problem solving tech..... yes its abug, just live with it, or just use 1 interface.

we know how to work arround issues but we need them to be fixed.

Same goes for putting in decimals when logging something.... 4.16km is 416 km... going about 1000km/h issue has been reported years ago and still is nog fixed!!
