GLONASS is a satellite navigation system deployed in orbit by Russian Federation. It is the equivalent of the GPS, American, Galileo, European, or the Japanese QZSS.

Charge 4 has also the possibility to use GLONASS that, depending where you are, can be more precise compared to GPS. And, no, don't worry about privacy, you're not transmitting your position to the satellite system.
