my fitbit not turn on what mean of v36 pls help me i'm soo confused

Hello @arminn, I'm glad to see you in the Community forums! If your Fitbit is showing the V36 message in the display it means that the tracker has the old firmware version and you need to update it. To do it please follow these steps if you're using the computer:

 

  1. Click the Fitbit Connect icon located near the date and time on your computer.
  2. Click Open Main Menu...
  3. Click Troubleshooting.
  4. Below the Fitbit Connect number, click Check for updates.
  5. When prompted, log in to your Fitbit account. Fitbit Connect will sync your tracker and then look for a firmware update. If an update is found, Fitbit Connect will display a progress bar until the update finishes. If your tracker has a screen, you'll also see a progress bar there.
  6. Keep your tracker close to the computer during the update, which may take several minutes. When the update is done you'll see a confirmation message and your tracker will restart. You're all set.

Hi - I'm having the same issue.  This is a brand new Charge HR given to me last Christmas.  I haven't been able to use it up to now because it wasn't compatible with my computer.  Just frustrating having to deal with that...all so I could use a Fitbit.  I had to get new software for my computer, and now it's compatible.  I've followed the steps to set up my FitBit account, but it won't allow me to sync.  The device is fully charged, but when I press it, it only displays an arrow and v36, and then shows it charging.  I followed your instructions to try and upgrade the software version but it says it already has the most current version (Dongle v2.5, Fitbit Connect 2.0.1.6813), so I'm not sure what to do now.  It just keeps saying "this tracker is not paired to an account.  It also asks if I set up my device on another computer already, but I did not.   Shows "Please set up this device with a new or existing Fitbit account"...which doesn't make any sense....I'm on a goose chase...help.Why isn't it working?  Thank you.

I want to thank you for trying the instructions I posted above, to setup your tracker using a Windows computer, please follow these steps:

 

  1. Since you mentioned that you have Fitbit Connect already installed, please open it and select the option to setup a new device.Setup.png

     

  2.  There you'll see the option to create a new account or log in using an existing one, since you already have one, please select the option for the existing accountSetup 1.png

     

  3. Enter the email address and password you used to create you accountSetup 2.jpg

      

  4. Update your personal information, only if it's necessary, and select the tracker you're setting upSetup 3.jpg

     

  5. Follow the instruction on the screen and at the end the tracker is going to start the update by itself. Please make sure the dongle is plugged to a functional USB port before starting this process.

Hi @MarlenS . I am new member to this community. I just purchased my charge HR for two days from Amazon. I connected it with wall charger overnight and it doesn't show any sign that it can be turned on. Last night I charged it again and it shows an empty battery icon. In my computer it says 0%. How did this happen when I charged it overnight? And also I see the same v36 some time when I pressed the side button. Same as the issue in this thread. 

 

Please help. I want to use and enjoy this device asap. I am hoping I would not return this to Amazon because of faulty device.
