I'm not a high tech person but was thinking of changing my phone to Motorola 1. I was wondering if Charge 2 and Motorola One play together.
Thanks for looking.

@jkm49 It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! Your phone doesn't show as compatible but that doesn’t mean it won’t work it just means that it hasn’t been tested by our team. You can try going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
I also leave the thread open so other owners of a Motorola One can share their experiences and you can also go to any brick and mortar store like Best Buy or Walmart which usually sell both phones and Fitbit devices and ask the tech person if they can try or what has been their experience with both.
Let me know how it goes!

@gilver Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Sorry for the late reply.
@jkm49 hopefully if you decided to get a Fitbit it will be working with your phone. Motorola phones are generally friendly with Fitbit devices. If not check @gilver testimony in the following posts.
@gilver happy to hear that your Charge 2 works with your phone and thank you for posting here as this may help other members in the same situation.
I'll be around!

Hi. I have the Motorola One and it won't connect at all. It stops at the point where it asks you to put the 4 digit code. Not sure if it's the Charge 2 or a compatibility issue.

I have exactly the same problem. Finds the fit bit, enter the 4 numbers the spins on the phone for ever and the Fitbit just goes dark. 😞

I can only confirm that we, my wife and I, have no problems with synchronization. Currently our phone is working with the most recent update of android 9 pie. For information my settings necessary to work properly. Go to settings on your opening screen. Click on connected devices (bluetooth). Then connect new device. Afterwards you can go to previously connected devices. where you will find the logo of settings. Click on this and you will find charge2 and you will also have to click on connect. Once synchronized, it is easy if you always click "synchronize" in the fitbit app. Before a new attempt, it is good to restart your phone. Hopefully you are helped with this. Gilver

Update: in January I had an online chat with costumer service about the issue. It was compatibility, since she made me try pairinit with my laptop and it worked. She said they were working on adding more phones to the compatibility list. I must say I didn't really see that happening, but about two weeks ago my Charge 2 started pairing with my Motorola One without me trying. I hope it works soon for the rest of you. And thanks for your answers!

My Motorola One never paired to receive notifications from my Charge 2. A couple days ago, it stopped totally to sync the information. 😞
I have tried so many things and nothing happened.
It keeps showing a message that fitbit is down for maintenance.
I have my phone updated to Android 9.

I bought the moto one because my previous phone huawei p9 lite lost sync all the time.
My experiences with motorola one is that it works very well, except for connected gps.
Without connected GPS I haven't seen a single sync or connection issue. I also haven't seen any setup issues (although I did the initial setup succesfully on the huawei phone).
However, when I use connected gps:
- The connected GPS connection is lost after a while
- Even after using connected GPS, the phone stops syncing sometimes
To fix the sync issue, I have to kill the app from the app info screen. After that, syncing is fine again.
I have the feeling the issue is caused by the battery management of android pie. When using connected GPS the phone turns into the slave and the phone is the master. This doesn't play nice with battery management of the phone.
When the connection is lost, the phone and fitbit seem to get stuck in an incompatible communication state. Killing the app fixes this. This seems to be a software bug.
There is another thread about connected GPS not working well on a lot of other phone. I feel that that functionality is still very buggy and doesn't play nice with the android API's / power management.

Hi, I had the same issue till I did the following:
1. Connected my Charge 2 to my laptop
2, Updated the Fitbit
3. Added the Fitbit device to the phone. Since the device was already added to the account through the laptop, the app asks you if you want to replace the Charge 2. Click yes.
After the update of the Fitbit, the procedure runs smoothly.
I hope this helps
