Wiping step count & not registering workouts

I’ve only had my Fitbit since November last year and over the last few months the ruddy thing has been wiping steps and not registering exercises and it’s getting really frustrating and I feel like throwing the thing away 🤬. Rebooting the Fitbit isn’t working...has anyone got any ideas on how to stop it from playing silly buggers???? Thanks 😊

@BeelsConfused Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with your missing steps and exercises. Have you logged any activities? This will override the data recorded during the same period. You can read more about manually logged activities here. Also what type of activities are you doing and for how long? How do you record them? The more information I have the better I will be able to assist you.

Let me know how it goes.

Hello,

Thanks for getting back to me. I have manually logged a “guesstimate” of my activity (in this case, it was a 2 hour quick walk) but I had lost my steps...when I looked at my Fitbit after we’d finished it had said I had done over 16,000 steps but when I looked again about 5 minutes later, it had dropped down to just over 4,000...what?! I know it wasn’t a figment of my imagination because I liked my Fitbit to the MyFitnessPal app and it logged I had completed over 16,000.

It’s not the first time it has done this and to be fair it’s starting to get irritating...I haven’t even had my Charge2 for for a year yet. I have signed up to a challenge of doing 1 million steps and I need a reliable steps tracker.

Thanks, Bee Lee
