I have been using a set route for a cycle ride for some time so that I can use it as a benchmark for my times and fitness levels. Usually I track it via the Strava but over the last year I have on a few occasions tracked it using my fitbit charge 2 which has logged matching stats. Today I went for the same ride and tracked it using the fitbit 'ride' function and was surprised to see that although the route and time was the same as usual, the distance was nearly 2 miles less than normal. It logged 5.26 miles instead of the usual 7.02 miles.
Can this be edited, ammended or put right. If it cant then I may as well stop using the fitbit because I cant rely on the accuracy of the data. 25% is a big discrepancy.

@SunsetRunner Welcome! It's good that the community is growing!
I will gladly assist you with this. Were you using the connected GPS feature or only the tracker? Was your tracker syncing during the activity? Was this done on a clear area or did it have trees or tall buildings?
I look forward to your reply.

I'll jump in on this thread, as well. My Charge 2 was pretty consistent until the past two weeks, roughly, then it started being erratic--giving me too much credit for running distance and not enough on walking distance. These were on the same ~3.14 mile course carrying my GPS-enabled phone, no change in settings on either the Charge 2 or my phone. Was there an app update or firmware update?
