Yet another Charge 3 that cannot connect/ sync or keep time

Hello

I have a Charge 3 that will not sync on one phone (a pixel1). I have attempted to connect it another device (pixel 3xl), however the Charge 3 is detected but never connects.

 

And so the merry go round of turning off Bluetooth, restarting the device and phone, etc,etc. I have tried all the steps in https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1866.htm?Highlight=sync but nothing works.

 

Even worse the Charge 3 cannot keep the correct time at all..... Its a watch!!!!!!!

 

Looking at other forum posts this seems a common issue. Somewhat disappointed.

 

What to do now fitbit?
