In Jan 2019 I got a Charge 3. By Jun 2020 both wristbands that came with the watch had broken. The bands themselves broke apart on the side with the holes at the hole I use to fasten the watch to my wrist. I had to buy a new band as 1 year warranty had expired. That band broke by Apr of 2021 in the same manner. Again no warranty so this time I took them up on the discount to buy a new Charge 4. This week, just over one year from purchase, the first band from this watch broke, again in the same way and no warranty was offered.
I am a 70+ year old who only takes the watch off to charge it and to shower and I tighten the band based on Fitbit's recommendtions. So this is not excessive or unusual wear. There is a problem with the band material. When this latest band breaks, which I assume will be approx one year from now, if I am lucky, I will replace the watch with another product.
