Hello @shagun.  Welcome to the Fitbit forums.

If you were watching your phone app's screen, or tracker screen, as you were walking, it doesn't necessarily change the display every step.  Sometimes the display just doesn't keep up with the changes even though it is still counting correctly.

This is the best way to check if it counting steps correctly:  Go outside or somewhere you can walk without sharp corners.  Stand still several seconds to make sure your tracker step display catches up.  Note step count on tracker.  Start walking with your arms swinging normally, not watching the tracker or phone.  Count steps as each foot touches the ground.  Continue for at least 100 steps, preferably more if possible.  When you stop, give the tracker display several seconds to be sure it has caught up.  Look at the step count on your tracker and compare that to what you counted  to yourself.

Let us now how this comes out.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

@shagun even while watching the tracker itself, there may be a delay caused by screen refresh rate.

Your best to follow @JohnnyRow and count out your steps.

I chose to count just my left step and then double my count when comparing to the tracker.
