Hi, I'd like to donate my Charge 2, an old Fitbit One that I've held on to, and my Aria scale. I know that I should do factory resets before donating. Does anyone know if doing a factory reset delete my historical data from the app? It seems like it should not, but I read conflicting info online (even from Fitbit). Some say to be sure to sync your device before a factory reset but then all say that it will delete all data from your app. Is that true? Or does it only delete any data on your device? I used Fitbits for over a decade and I want to keep the app and retain that data.

A factory reset will only clear data from the tracker. It does not affect any of your data on the Fitbit servers (which you see via the app). Also, there isn't a factory reset option for the One or Charge 2 - it's only available for selected models. See the help article at: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2216.htm
There is a separate process for clearing your account data from the servers: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1285.htm
