what’s the minimum distance you need to run to register fastest pace?

Let me help you with your pace inquiry. Where are you viewing this information? If you mean comparing this on a GPS detected activity then you will need to have data for at least two splits (either 1 mile or 1 kilometer splits) so you get a comparison between them. If you aren't referring to this then please share a screenshot of what you are seeing on your account so I can better assist you.

 run showed fastest pace as 2’26” no way I did that over 1 mile or 1 k
