main menu not able to open on mac and can't sync on windows 10

Having trouble syncing since update , all roads say open main menu on mac but this is greyed out?

 

Also despite being paired on windows 10 device phone can't see tracker?

The referenced post does not address the issue of being told to open Main Menu when that option is grayed out!
