@dottiesmum @blueowlnut It's great to have you here! You force a sync via the Fitbit app on mobile devices or the Fitbit software for computers. On the app just open the app and a sync should start or press the tracker's icon, press it again and tap "Sync Now", on the computer you can do something similar on the Windows 10 app or if you are using Fitbit Connect you will see a Sync Now button on the main screen. If you are using a mobile device make sure it is compatible to sync. If you need more information please let me know which device are you using to sync your tracker and what are you using to sync it.

Let me know how it goes!

Hi, I have nothing on my pc with a force sync at all and I have also noticed that it doesn't sync all day even though I have all day sync turned on so I am having to force sync on my phone all the time which is making my phone battery die quicker.

I am having the same problem. Trying to get my tracker to sync with the PC is pure luck I think. I shut it down, open it, turn the tracker on and off and if I am lucky it works.

I found that mine did not sync after the latest update on my iPad and iPhone. I have an old iPad and it is not updated and it works on it.

@blueowlnut @Fredwife @Sara69 If you have a Bluetooth bond between your Charge 2 and a mobile device (required for features like notifications and connected GPS), the Bluetooth bond may be preventing you from syncing with a second mobile device or computer. If this is the case, I would recommend the steps mentioned here.

@Sara69 is your PC running Windows 10 or Windows 8? Depending on your operating system and your Bluetooth hardware on your PC, you may need a dongle to sync. Click here for more info.

I also run windows 10 but there is no force sync on the pc so I can not get it to sync without using my phone

Not really. My Microsoft phone does not support charge 2 and my laptop is on windows 8 so I had to buy an additional dongle to get the fitbit working on that. So any other solutions that might work for me

@blueowlnut There is a force sync button in the Fitbit Windows 10 App, click here for instructions on where to find it.

@dottiesmum Syncing using your PC's native Bluetooth is not supported on Windows 8 machines, only on the Fitbit Windows 10 App.

Unfortunately in order to sync and setup with your Charge 2 with your Windows 8 PC, you'll need a dongle.

I run windows 7. The thing is when I first got the charge 2 it sync'd nicely to both phone and pc. It is only recently I have been having a problem. Even when I enable bluetooth on my phone and press the sync button it says it is syncing for about a minute and then shows me an exclamation mark in a red circle and doesn't do anything. It all seems very random. Feeling very let down as all seemed to be going so well.

You don't get a dongle with charge 2

I looked it up and charge 2 doesn't come with a dongle so more expense. You would have thought that if it is needed they would supply one.

There is NO DONGLE with a charge 2 and the sync symbol on my account is
only an image and can not be pressed.
